Denary 2 Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 I've recently had a large jump from 4.5.4 to 4.6.4 and there is a new 'feature' that plagues me. I tend to shift and play specific music from certain albums as and when I felt like it and that used to be no problem until I got the following pop up button: Is there anyway to disable this pop up that appears every single time? Like a setting we can have under playback with: When playing new music item, keep or clear previous playlist. Always Ask Keep previous playlist Clear previous playlist. 2
Luke 42077 Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 HI, yes expect more control over this in future updates. thanks.
Denary 2 Posted October 20, 2021 Author Posted October 20, 2021 Brilliant thank you! I shall grit my teeth for now.
RvPhil 0 Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 (edited) Hi I was also looking for answers related to this. We recently updated to Version 4.6.7.0 for emby-server-synology7_4.6.7.0_x86_64.spk for my synology dsm 7 1621+. This was to store and play the media files of customers. As a chatbot development company, we store audio files and had used the previous version but after the recent update we are missing a few audio files that were quite important to us but we are unsure which or how many files are missing. Is there any way we can get the previous data back? Edited October 21, 2025 by GrimReaper Spam link removed

Ailoitte 0 Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 (edited) Hi, I’ve been experiencing something similar since updating to Version 4.6.5. We manage a lot of media files as part of our workflow, especially audio files linked to our custom chatbot development services. The issue with this new feature has been a bit disruptive, as we often need to play specific tracks without affecting the rest of the playlist. While I haven’t found a way to disable the pop-up entirely, I’ve noticed that adjusting some playback settings temporarily reduces the frequency of it appearing. However, if anyone discovers a more permanent solution or workaround, I’d love to hear it! Edited October 21, 2025 by GrimReaper Spam link removed
jemmii 0 Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 something similar since updating to Version 4.6.5.
intellectyx 0 Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 (edited) Hi, I was also looking for answers related to this. We recently updated to Version 4.6.7.0 for emby-server-synology7_4.6.7.0_x86_64.spk on our Synology DSM 7 1621+. This was essential for managing and processing client data efficiently. As an AI agent development company in USA, we store and analyze large datasets, and after the recent update, we noticed that some crucial files related to our AI models are missing. We are unsure which or how many files were lost. Is there any way to recover the previous data? Edited October 21, 2025 by GrimReaper Spam link removed
Luke 42077 Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Hi, if you update to Emby Server 4.7 and then 4.8, you shouldn't see this as much anymore. Thanks.

Jerry_Watson 0 Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 (edited) Hi, I was also looking for solutions regarding this issue. We recently upgraded to Version 4.6.7.0 for emby-server-synology7_4.6.7.0_x86_64.spk on our Synology DSM 7 setup (model 1621+). We use Emby to manage and play back client media files as part of our workflow at an AI consulting company. After the update, we’ve noticed that a few audio files we previously had access to are now missing. We’re not entirely sure which files or how many, but they were part of important project archives. Luke 42077 Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 Hi, I would suggest updating to Emby server 4.8.11.
rafaelakutch 0 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 (edited) Oh, I totally get this feeling! This annoying pop up button appears every single time, just like a repetitive Sprunki Game level. I also just had that large jump to the new version and am just wishing for a way to disable this pop up. Hope the devs are listening! Edited October 21, 2025 by GrimReaper Spam link removed
