bkennedy4207 0 Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Was having issue with my HDHomerun, decided to restart the emby server as well as the tuner. Tuner works fine, am able to pull streams with VLC, but keep getting the Playback error on all platforms I use when i try to start the live tv stream (firefox, fire stick, and safari). I tried deleting and re-adding the tuner but that did not help. Any advice would be helpful: embyserver(1).txt

bkennedy4207 0 Posted October 10, 2021 Author Posted October 10, 2021 sorry, put this in general when it should have been under liveTV, made a topic there:
Carlo 4561 Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Hi, something is wrong with your setup as it's showing in the logs System.Exception: System.Exception: No video encoder found for 'h264' Shut down Emby Server. Download the beta version again directly from https://emby.media/windows-server.html Install it right over top your current installation and then restart Emby Server and try again. If you have an issue, upload a new server log.
bkennedy4207 0 Posted October 10, 2021 Author Posted October 10, 2021 Hi Cayars, Still having the same issue, logs posted below. embyserver(2).txt
Luke 42081 Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 On some linux distros, Firefox does not include h264 support and you have to install it ourselves. Until you've done that, the server has to transcode to webm and it looks like there is a failure in doing that, so we'll take a look at that. But in the meantime you can probably resolve this on your own: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1317085 1
softworkz 5071 Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 (edited) Could you please open a command prompt and run this (paste+enter): C:\Users\bkennedy\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\ffmpeg.exe The error code means 'dll not found', seems the installation is corrupt in some way. bkennedy4207 0 Posted October 18, 2021 Author Posted October 18, 2021 I'm on windows server 2012, I ended up reinstalling the non-beta release and got things working again. It's ok to close this tread
