Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 You can do that yourself as you control all your users. Remove Connect username, hit save, re-add Connect username, hit save. But you many need to elaborate on your issue.

Is this a local or remote connection?
smartenjoyment 0 Posted October 8, 2021 Author Posted October 8, 2021 I know it not a network connection error as i can still get onto my server to view all the content just can't log into emby to do anything. my mate can still log into my emby and view stuff.

So you can still login? Are you saying you lost admin access on your user account?

Sorry but none of this makes any since. What method are you using to connect to Emby? Connect (app.emby.media or direct ip) As the connection method determines the account used as a local account and forum/connect account are two very different account. smartenjoyment 0 Posted October 8, 2021 Author Posted October 8, 2021 ok, when i say i can't log into my emby at all how does that not make make any sense, i have try both the app.emby.media and the ip address i have tried log in with my admin login details and with my email log in details which i know i was log into my emby about 4pm uk time and was fine when i try to log into again at 5pm couldn't access but speak to someone they could I have tried to log into my emby app on my phone / app on my firestick both can see my server but when i click on can't get access. Speak to someone which else which has a emby admin they think my account has been unlink from my log in details.

But are all of these connections REMOTE or Local? They have admin on your server? If so then they would check your account to see if it were delink as we at Emby have zero control over any user account. All we can do is banned or delete the username. Since two different methods of connecting require two different accounts and the both fail, it sounds like possibly a account setting.

All support is done on the forum. Only email primary used for Billing. Are you local to your server? Have you used the Forgot password option to reset your password, but this requires local access.

When you open a browser and type in your local Emby Server address such as https://192.168.1.10:8096 you should get a login page. On that page is with a ? mark is "Forget Password". Have you used this?

It will generate this text file regardless if you use an account that actually exists on the system. So if you got the message but were not able to actually reset the account it's because it doesn't exist. This feature is only useful to the admin of the system with access to the file system.

Are you currently Remote to your server?
