Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 @Roger Grahamif you go to setting-Display and disable "Display missing episodes within seasons" do they appear correctly? As there are dozed of topics on this missing episode defect.

Well, he has them named in original order and trying to scrape them as such - and they are scraped, NFO holds correct data, UI does not. 11 hours ago, Roger Graham said: Thanks you for the replies. Here's my folder structure (before refreshing), the Emby library settings, and what I see in Season 2 (after refreshing):
rbjtech 5284 Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 The only real way to tell what version you have is the run-time of each Episode - compare them to Netflix...

You cannot just do this - this is what I am saying... the original aired order has a) LESS episodes and b) LONGER runtimes - thus you will never be able to 'match them' ..
GrimReaper 4740 Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 Just now, rbjtech said: You cannot just do this - this is what I am saying... the original aired order has a) LESS episodes and b) LONGER runtimes - thus you will never be able to 'match them' .. Ffs, rbj, for the third time: HE HAS THEM NAMED AND STRUCTURED AS PER TVDB AIRED ORDER and/or TMDB ORIGINAL AIR ORDER. They ARE scraped correctly. They DON'T show correctly for some episodes.
rbjtech 5284 Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 (edited) Right ok - so he does have the Antena 3 versions - I'll take that back then. Apologies. I would remove the series entirely, do a library refresh, set a vacuum on the db, shutdown emby, restart, library refresh, then add them back in as if they were new.. Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 Is the issue not displaying Missing but actually have the episode? If so the I already explained issue and a test to verify.

Yep, did suggest same before (albeit without vacuuming), OP said same result. 10 hours ago, GrimReaper said: Maybe the db is holding onto some data, you can try removing that folder from your TV Shows parent, run Scan media library task (to clear db), put it back, Scan media library again, all with current settings as you have them now 5 hours ago, Roger Graham said: Even after completely deleting that folder and recreating it then refreshing etc, my Season 02 still only recognises episodes 1-6 and 8-9

Yep, he has the episodes and Emby-created NFO upon scraping holds all the data. It just ain't showing in the UI. Money Heist S02E07 A Quick Vacation.nfo Edited October 6, 2021 by GrimReaper NFO

Basically virtual item was never cleared from the database. Edited October 6, 2021 by Happy2Play

That's the step that is needed to clean the data from the database. Paul 1
Roger Graham 6 Posted October 6, 2021 Author Posted October 6, 2021 Hi all, thanks for the overnight (for me!) comments. @Happy2PlayI can confirm that I have "Display missing episodes within seasons" checked on. I can also confirm that my Season1 episodes are the 15 original ~70-80-minute-ish episodes, not the 20-odd ~45-minute-ish Netflix versions @pwhodges good point, I didn't specify that, but yes I refreshed the library between the deletion and re-creation @GrimReaper thanks again! After reading everyone's comments, I tried: moving Money Heist completely out of the TV Shows folder doing a Scan Library Files on the "TV Shows" library, from the Home screen stopping and re-starting Emby server creating a new "TV Shows MH Only" folder, adding just Money Heist to the folder, and creating a new "TV Shows MH Only" library with just that folder... ...and everything was perfect!! 15 shows with descriptions etc in Season 1, and 16 shows with descriptions etc in Season 2, i.e. no "Missing" episodes I did a bunch of other tests with a third new library (which included all TV shows inc. Money Heist), which got everything right until Season 2 ep11, then the last 5 episodes were shown as "missing", but showing the correct episode descriptions. At first I wondered if that was just a (very very) slow refresh, but there was no activity showing on the Dashboard or Library pages. And then after a refresh on the original "TV Shows" library, I saw that it had the same problem of just the last 5 episodes showing as "missing" (which was a change from yesterday, which consistently showed episodes 7 and 10-16 as missing). Then after some more re-scanning/refresh/etc, somehow, all three libraries (the original all-TV-shows, the MH-only, and the new all-TV-shows) show the correct information for both seasons. So I'm sad to say that I don't know what fixed it in the end. I've left the two new libraries intact for the time being, if there's any useful information that you think I might be able to glean from them. Thanks everyone for helping out! 1
