berlinpose2 0 Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I’m a Linux noob and considering changing from win10 to a Linux distro, I have read that Linux runs Plex more efficient what about Emby and what is a noob friendly version to get me started. All I need to run is Emby and Plex, kodi, resilio sync, and TVHeadend.
Q-Droid 989 Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 It's best for a noob to go for the more popular distros with the largest install base. The default distro on the Emby download page is Ubuntu. Chances are that more Emby packages are installed on Ubuntu and Mint than any other distro which can also translate into more help from the community and the internet as a whole.
Luke 42079 Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Yes I would suggest Ubuntu as well for the same reasons.
CassTG 113 Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 I would have to say Coming from Windows Zorrin OS is now my preferred favourite, based on Ubuntu but with a far more similar look and feel to windows.
