Icepick 1 Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 (edited) Hello Just like the tiles says. I just did a fresh Windows 10 install and installed Emby Theater 3.0.15. I can log in no problem but when I try and play anything on my library all I get is a circle that goes round and round and nothing plays. If I log in to emby server via a browser it works without any problems. also if I got to the files I'm trying to plays network share its plays without a problem on Media Player Classic v1.9.15.79. It doesn't to matter what video or audio codec is used in the video files. The same problem happens. I have tried H.264 and H.265 (HEVC) for video and EAC3 and DTS for audio. It works with AAC though? Extra Info Emby Theater 3.0.15 Firefox V92.0.1 Chrome v94.0.4606.71 Edited October 2, 2021 by Icepick
Icepick 1 Posted October 2, 2021 Author Posted October 2, 2021 Found a fix. Looks like turning off the audio passthrough fixed it.
Luke 42078 Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Hi, yes that's because newer versions of mpv do not Auto fallback to decoding when you enable passthrough on something that your audio setup doesn't support. It used to just automatically switch and revert even if you did thisĀ They have an open issue filed about this so hopefully it will be resolved before long. Thanks.
