212 fixes the "Only Favorites" filter not working and is more reactive to new/removed items.  You should only have to return to the EHS to see updates instead of potentially having to restart MBC.

your work on the updating prompted a question for mbplus so i posted in the discussion thread over there but your changelog is what jogged it in my mind

Regarding Tunein + MBC, here are the requested files.  I do have hide empty folders enabled so it may be that as I've seen that cause problems in the past.

I didn't try turning that off as I was in a hurry to get it working for the wife and just uninstalled tunein for the time being.

@@coolspot - thanks but I have those options selected also and cannot reproduce this problem.  Can you please try changing some options around and seeing if any of them make a difference.  Turn one on/off and then re-start and see what happens.  The ones to try would be things like:

hide empty folders

show unplayed count

played indicator on items

group channels together

Thanks.

Well,  I updated to 212 and figured I'd try to install TuneIn afterward before I made any of those suggested configuration changes and MBC opened properly. I also noticed my Media browser server updated last night as well to 3.0.5372.39735.  So those were the only two changes.

I haven't tried to see if the stations played or not yet I'll have to do that tonight when I get home as I ran out of time this morning.

The tune-in plug-in itself has been getting updated as well but I really doubt that would impact this particular issue.  Please let me know if the issue returns.

Problem with 212, and viewing my movies, with the heart highlighted.  Don't remember highlighting it, but I get No Items.  If I send a movie via the web client it will play the movie, as well as it has a list of unwatched movies.

Here are the logs, me going into my movie folder should be at the bottom.

And you have movies in that list that you have marked as Favorites?

Yup even when in and marked a couple more as favourite just in case.   And for some reason I can't move up and change any of the options.

What happens if you de-select the heart and then re-select it?

I can't, the "cursor" will not move, I'm going to try it with the mouse next time some one isn't use the TV :).

My tunein plugin issue did return.  So immediately after the install mbc loaded fine, but when I tried logging in a day later the problem had returned.  It's not a critical need atm so I've just uninstalled the plugin, I'll play with it and my settings when I have a little time this weekend.

Are you sure the movies you had marked as favorites before would actually be in that list?  I'm thinking maybe they were in box sets and so the box set would be in the list and not the movie itself...

Small touchscreen issue with new MBC now playing UI.

Using a touchscreen Windows 8.1 PC, you cannot exit the new WMC interface (with pause icon) using the back button multiple times.  I've tried fast and slow double and triple taps.

I have to use the HTPC remote or keyboard back button to get out.

Try unchecking the option that shows the overlay on mouse movement.

This didn't work in my case.

No I'm not sure.  But it does show a little bug, that if you have no items in the collection there is a problem getting to the menu items in the top right, with the remote.  I'm sure I could have got it with the mouse/keyboard.

215 has some interesting changes:

  • Fix logo stretching in Chocolate poster view
  • Protect against channels causing long delay
  • Re-work intro playback to use custom interface

The last two are the most interesting.  For those of you using intros or the new Cinema Mode please try this out.

Also, any of you who had trouble with the Tune-in channel causing MBC to hang, can you please try re-installing that channel and try this version of MBC?

Thanks.

Just reinstalled Tune-in.  Seems fine so far, but I noticed my problem began after some period of time.  I'll check again in the morning and hopefully update my post.  Heading out of town for a few days so I probably won't have final word until Thursday.

Ok I think that must have fixed the tunein issue as my family didn't complain while I was away and I think I would have heard from them.  Sorry I was slow getting a response back as I was out of town for some training.

Thanks for confirming.
