New User flow

I could not find any documentation on the best practices for the new user flow.

Is there an option to turn it on?  to request a new user account from the admins?

Or is the only real way to do this, is an admin to create the user and force a password change next login?  Is that a server option?

Hi.  We are designed as a personal media server for your family and close friends so you just create the users you wish in the server setup.

I dont see the invite with Emby Connect, which would be perfect.  Im hoping it works where 

1) Send invite via their email addess

2) they get the invite, create a emby connect account if they dont have one

3) Now that they haver an emby connect account (or already had one) the server is linked to it, and they can log into the server.

The main goal, is I dont want to pre-set the password or leave it blank

Even with Emby Connect, you need to be sure to create a password on the local user because someone can always bypass Connect and just use the local credentials.

Fair enough, I was hoping to see some user/password controls (not asking for 2FA but that would be great )

For me, while 90% of the usage is LAN based, I do travel for work (used to before covid and plan on having to again someday....) so I would prefer it to be a bit more secure on the public web side

Once you give that new user a name and click 'Save' -- you will then the following tabs:

'Profile' | 'Access' | 'Parental Control' | 'Password'

but you have to click 'Save' first before they are made available.
