Landoman 20 Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 So I'd rather not buy google, amazon in each room as I already have bluetooth speakers in each room connected to a tablet. However i'd like to have the same music playing at the same time in all my rooms. Can anyone think of a way that when I am playing a song stream it could be synched across all tablets? I tested it with the radio channel and its always out of sync... is there a way for emby to sync streams? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Luke 42077 Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Hi, yes there are other topics on this already and it's something we're interested in for future updates. Thanks for the feedback.
Carlo 4560 Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Short of doing something hard wired I'd think Sonos, Alexa or Google Home are likely your best options.
Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 (edited) I know it is not what you are really asking but my solution for audio throughout my abode is a small cheep computer running MediaMonkey and its output is piped to every room at the line level and each room has a small amp and speakers. (I would think the Bluetooth speakers could work as well but I prefer wires.) I have not found, so far, that Emby (or Plex) is acceptable for audiobooks and that is the primary purpose for my audio consumption. There are not really many other alternatives that even come close to what I need. BTW: I can control Mediamonkey with Alexa using something called AssistantComputerControl. I've not found anything better for me. Edited September 22, 2021 by Gilgamesh_48
