Kyrunner 86 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 What’s the best way to Handel a two disc set as far as a folder structure
Luke 42077 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 HI, have you ripped this to video files?
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 The best approach is to rip to mkv and then merge the two video files using mkvmerge.
rbjtech 5284 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 (edited) Personally I now tend to keep these type of films as the intended two parts - same with films like Extended Editions of LoTR. Each part of the film then keeps it intended chapters and lets be honest, nobody is going to watch a 4hr film without a break .. I just put them both in the same folder - with a '- D1 or -D2' after the primary part of the filename - and then create a collection of them both called the same thing. Then you only get a single entry in your list of films but get to see both parts when selecting it.. Example file naming :- Directory of V:\Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) [tmdbid=791373] 10/09/2021 23:17 59,568,008,668 Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) - D1 - Bluray-2160p HDR THD 7.1.mkv 10/09/2021 23:38 41,339,473,378 Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) - D2 - Bluray-2160p HDR THD 7.1.mkv Edited September 19, 2021 by rbjtech 1
Painkiller88 248 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 (edited) i put them together using mkvtoolnix, the chapters etc. won't be removed and i have it as 1 file/movie Edited September 19, 2021 by Painkiller8818 2
Carlo 4560 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 If you can merge them it does simplify things as it's just another media file to Emby without any special needs or setup required. If you can't do this then what @rbjtech showed is a perfect way to handle these files. 1
