Hello.

I am not asking for an ETA  ;)

I only noticed that there are many new features everytime I visit your blog. There always is a new beta with a lot of improvements which is GREAT, But I cant see a final release on the horizon  :)

MB3 is already developed for such a long time that I am asking myself if there ever will be a final release which I can try out  B)

Software these days are not doing "Final" version anymore, I think what you are looking for is the "stable" release versions. Which are much more stable and does not get updated way less than the dev versions.

But this is MB2, isnt it? I cant say for sure. The downloadable file is named "setup.exe"  :D

If you are downloading from here then it is MB 3.  Yes, the actual file that comes down is named 'setup.exe'.

This is MB3 ?

I thought that MB3 is still in beta stage?

Yes.  There is nothing other than MB 3 anymore.  MB 2 is completely gone.

OK. And what version is it?

I dont know how to tell in english ;).

What I want to know is: When was this version released. What features are in? How do I know when a new version is released. There is no date no specific version number.

The blog and Announcements forum out here is where releases and new features are announced.  The current Release version of the server is 3.0.5347.

I am confused.

I thought that 3.0.5347 is the latest beta version? Are the announcements (of the server) in your blog always stable releases?

I think due to the rapid development on MBS, there is no "stable" labeled version out there. There are only "official" versions that are still in Beta status (like google maps is since years), maybe you can call it RC (release candidates) which are really stable.

No there are stable releases and beta releases and development releases.

Currently, there is no active beta release so either one you install from the web site will actually give you the same version.

We usually announce new versions when they hit beta.  Then, after more testing and final bug fixes, that version (or a subsequent one) will get promoted to a stable release.
