FreshDog 8 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 I have recently updated my Emby version from 4.5.4 to 4.6.4. And then I've seen that the Links block in the movie overview has changed. The collection info is missing now. Old: New: I don't use the AutoBoxSets plugin. But I've used the Collection info to quickly identify if a movie belongs to a collection (and also to which one) and then to create the collection manually. Which is not possible anymore in an easy way. Is it possible to bring the collection info back to the links block in the overview? 1
rbjtech 5284 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 There is now a 'included In' on the movie page - this takes you to the collection and from there you get the link to tmdb collection but it's just labelled as 'TheMovieDb' which is a little misleading I agree but it does take you to the collection.
FreshDog 8 Posted September 16, 2021 Author Posted September 16, 2021 Yes. But "Included in" is only for the cases where the collection is already created. What I mean is the info from TheMovieDb if a movie belongs to a collection for newly added movies which are not assigned to a collection yet.

In that case yes, I agree with you The metadata has the collection ID if available - so not sure why it doesn't show it ..

rbjtech 5284 Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 (edited) The data is there yes .. but at an item level, is is not shown, nor available in a Item Metadata edit - that is the point the OP is raising - it used to be.. { "Items": [ { "Name": "The Incredibles", "ServerId": "5f9c466f4ecc4319b1d48f55e311d249", "Id": "580707", "RunTimeTicks": 66349010000, "ProviderIds": { "Imdb": "tt0317705", "Tmdb": "9806", "TmdbCollection": "468222" <----------------------------------------------------------------------- }, "IsFolder": false, "Type": "Movie", "ImageTags": { "Primary": "5d592a105cec4183685b527509416875", "Logo": "92826c1cefc6e165d10421c0b94f8b7c", "Thumb": "e1ecade97f9fa4f164dde7b3d4763dcf" }, "BackdropImageTags": [ "66b234c4bc5f383bfbbd15e22c4d871c" ], "MediaType": "Video" } ], "TotalRecordCount": 1 } This is another example where I just have the movie 'Avatar' - I have no 'Collection' for it (because Avatar 2 is not even out yet.. .) - but emby has collected the tmdbCollection ID for it. So if it did display it - I could click on it - and find my missing movies. I'm pretty sure that always used to be there as I've used it once or twice myself as I was unaware there was a follow up movie ... { "Items": [ { "Name": "Avatar", "ServerId": "5f9c466f4ecc4319b1d48f55e311d249", "Id": "552953", "RunTimeTicks": 97017120000, "ProviderIds": { "Imdb": "tt0499549", "Tmdb": "19995", "TmdbCollection": "87096" }, "IsFolder": false, "Type": "Movie", "ImageTags": { "Primary": "5b8d26ecfc0df7b198588c67cbc5be9e", "Logo": "dd570ec9dd6914a4c5e3609cd5d144ea", "Thumb": "e102f515ce7f1828013df703422125ba" }, "BackdropImageTags": [ "79b959a794bf411fd6944111a48a4a77" ], "MediaType": "Video" } ], "TotalRecordCount": 1 } Edited September 17, 2021 by rbjtech

I've used it (at least the info in the overview) all the time. Actually with every newly added movie to quickly check if I need to create a new collection. And I always found it very useful. Therefore it would be really great if the collection info could be shown again in the movie overview (well, and also in the metadata). 1
Luke 42081 Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Yea the reason for not using this anymore is that there isn't a singular collection id value because there could be multiple. The server does still have this data, it's just kept elsewhere now. I suppose we can try to find a way to work it in.
FreshDog 8 Posted September 23, 2021 Author Posted September 23, 2021 I've never seen a movie belonging to multiple TMDB collections for myself. Though I'm sure it's possible and there are probably movies with multiple collections out there. But in this case maybe you could just show multiple collection IDs in the Links section. Something like "TheMovieDb Collection #1", "TheMovieDb Collection #2" etc.

Happy2Play 9783 Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 From a Link stand point this would be a TMDB provider link and not a personal collection link. I believe the TMDB provider link should be visible on item details and edit metadata as that is how Emby is creating provider based collections. Now from a user custom collection there is no need for a Link as there will be no custom collection on TMDB, but they do have Lists that make a lot of custom collections like MCU. But I guess there are users that will not want to see this TMDB Collection information also.

Maybe I'm misreading something here or there, but there *shouldn't* be a case of one TMDB movie in multiple TMDB collections. From the TMDB bible on Collections: Quote Movies can only be in one collection at a time. https://www.themoviedb.org/bible/collection 1
Luke 42081 Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Just now, roaku said: Maybe I'm misreading something here or there, but there *shouldn't* be a case of one TMDB movie in multiple TMDB collections. This is all the more a reason to show this info in the movie overview links and edit metadata again. Because if a TMDB movie can only be in one collection at a time the scraper itself will never read "multiple collections". So assigning a movie to multiple collections would always be a manual task. I'm not sure about the nfo files as I don't use them but in the GUI its currently not possible at all.
Luke 42081 Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 The metadata editor would be more like editing a list of people rather than the single field of old.

Sure. But at least for me this would be absolutely fine. The more important part for me is to get the info back in the Links section to quickly see if a newly added movie belongs to a collection.
