api nfo format

Is the api capable to return item data in nfo format?

I mean not the nfo files itself, regular api item queries, but return info in nfo format.

...or is it possible to download the nfo files?

What are you calling "nfo format"?  Internally, it is XML, correct?

Well, the content of the nfo files. Actually it's a xml file, but the content is (as I call it) nfo style.

Not sure if there is "definition" for nfo, I assume same as for m3u. Sort of de facto standard.
