Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 Don't know this device/app but thought you have to manually active this option. Are you saying it is always on, on every video?

Are you saying it is always on, on every video? This has been posted in the wrong area and that pic is Android TV (notice Exoplayer vs Tizen player). However, ATV acts differently than most apps in that once you turn on SFN it's always on even after stopping a video or exiting the app. @ebr is this intentional that SFN is always on in ATV once turned on? In other apps the SFN flag clears itself after stopping playback. @zeppplay I'm moving this to ATV section of the forum Edited September 12, 2021 by FrostByte 1

It stays on only for your current session of the app. If you turn this on and leave it on, it is assumed you want it across videos. If you exit and re-enter the app, it will be back off.

I just tested it out again as I did before I posted. Turned it on, clicked STOP and exited the app and when I restarted the app it was still ON the next time I played something else. As I mentioned this is not how the other apps behave. In other apps clicking STOP or exiting the app turns SFN off the next time you play something. The problem you get with this is what the OP posted. Someone obviously accidently turned it ON and it stayed ON forever and he didn't know how to turn it OFF. However, if that's the way you want it really doesn't matter to me. It's the OP who didn't know how to turn it off the next time he played something. 1

Well, that is not how it was originally designed. It should reset on an app restart. I'll have to see what broke. Thanks.

Correct, if you force close the app it does turn off SFN. I suppose Exit doesn't really fully close the app so that's why it isn't hitting the code to turn off SFN? Most people aren't going to do that though 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 Just updated to .42 beta. The SFN flag now resets back to OFF when Exiting while still maintaining the current status for the duration of the session. I think this will help with the OP and others who accidentally turn on SFN and don't know how to turn it off. Thanks. 1
