Hi,

A few versions ago you removed an OSD "feature" that highlights the current active element. This was very useful to see more easy what element is actually selected.

This feature has gone, for no reason for me. Can you bring it back please as it was useful and for a much better useability

You even can see it here on the samsung download page:

https://emby.media/emby-for-samsung-smart-tv.html

For me there is no reason to remove this.

thanks

The newest on the Samsung, updated today. 1.1.02
Maybe it helps if you know the TV Model. It is the Q90R (2019)

See the link i attached in the first post, there is a green border around the selected item on the image, i had this  once but it has been removed a few updates ago.

The green border that highlights the selected item on the samsung tv.

The selected item expands though, right?

yes exactly, but there was a green border so you could better see what item is selected, this was on the home screen and in the movies/shows view etc.

this has gone, they are expanding but its sometimes still hard to see where you are with the navigation

What TV model?

I’m seeing green borders with the latest version.
A screenshot from your tv would help

Newer devices will use the scale up animation so you won't see the border as much.

Tizen 4.0 (2018) appears to be the first which supports the scale up.  I kind of prefer the scale up over the green, but can live with it either way.

Agree with the OP - while it might look a bit more modern  (v1.1.0.2 via USB) - it's appalling for navigation - infact, you need to look REALLY hard to see what is 'highlighted' - especially on 'dark' posters as they simply blend in with the black background - sometimes I needed to scroll to a 'light' poster to see where I was ..

Not a good user experience imo.

The thicker Green border is much better imo (on the Release version 1.0.9.7) - maybe do both like you do on the Android App ?

I already had the green borders on an older version of the app so my tv can display the border, but it has been removed in newer versions of emby app.

Any news when you bring it back? It isn't a new feature, it already was there.

Thanks
