Carlo 4561 Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 Hi, do you have a backup of your old system or can you mount the old HDD in the new computer?
Shamuslcfcmiayoung 2 Posted September 7, 2021 Author Posted September 7, 2021 i have all my files back up but i wanted to know do i have a new ip address and have to start again or can the account settings stay the same if they do how do i sign into my old account but use the server on my new computer?
MBSki 1114 Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 (edited) Did you copy your Emby folder at %appdata%\Emby-Server (ie C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server) If so, it would be similar to the steps described in this thread: Migrating Emby to new Windows Build - General/Windows - Emby Community. Basically just copy that folder in it's entirety to the new computer and then double-click the executable to start up the server. When you copy it to the new computer, don't put it in the user directory though and don't install Emby. Edited September 7, 2021 by mbarylski
