transfer my old account onto my new computer

can somebody help me my old computer has broken on me and had to get a new one so i was just wondering if somebody could help me with how do i use my user name (which has emby premiere) to my new p.c and i put my libraries onto the new computer

Hi, do you have a backup of your old system or can you mount the old HDD in the new computer?

i have all my files back up but i wanted to know do i have a new ip address and have to start again or can the account settings stay the same if they do how do i sign into my old account but use the server on my new computer?

Did you copy your Emby folder at %appdata%\Emby-Server (ie C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server)

If so, it would be similar to the steps described in this thread: Migrating Emby to new Windows Build - General/Windows - Emby Community. Basically just copy that folder in it's entirety to the new computer and then double-click the executable to start up the server. When you copy it to the new computer, don't put it in the user directory though and don't install Emby.

im just copying the path to my new computer as i didn't do that before but thank you for your help hoping that this works haha
