Collections XML file does not contain member items

The Collections XML file when found at .../data/collections/[collectionname]/collection.xml showed the list of videos that were members of the collection.  The Collections file now found at .../metadata/collections/[collectionname]/collection.nfo  does NOT include the list of member videos.  Is there something I could have changed in library selections/updates that caused this to happen?  If not, where is the list of member videos now kept if it is no longer in the xml file? Directly editing the XML file is the fastest way to convert 10 or so looney tunes playlists to collections because some had over 100 items in the list.  I started but never finished and now everything is different so I can't finish.

Thanks!

They are no longer linked in collection.nfo/xml, they are linked in the item nfo with the <set> node.  This change happened to allow users to move there media where ever they like and still maintain their Collections.  Now you may have to Refresh your media to populate the item nfo if is has not already happened.

I'm sorry but "linked in the item nfo with the <set> node" means nothing to me.  How do I edit / update the members of the collection outside of the user interface now if I can't edit the XML contents?   I am not a programmer -- just a technically-apt CPA :)

You edit the nfo of the movie file to add or remove it from a collection in the same way you'd edit the genres for that movie.

OHHHH --- so we've lost the ability to edit the collection as a whole in one place :(  Going into each video nfo file will take even longer than through the user interface .... Buggar.  Well,  thanks for the quick replies.

You've got the multi-select tool in the web interface. Doesn't that allow for fast adding and removing?

In most cases, yes, it is fine.  It's just in this case, as mentioned in the original post, I already had the list of 100 shorts in a play list and copying and pasting from the playlist XML to the collections XML and replacing the word 'Playlist' with 'Collection' was soooo easy, fast, and accurate that I was spoiled.   I know it's not something that is a common occurrence --- and probably would have never noticed had I finished moving from PlayLists back to Collections before this change was made :)

What if you could multi-select from the playlist screen, then select all and then press add to collection?
