Thuzad 50 Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Hello, I would like to add a monitoring to detect freezes on my server. I currently monitor a lot of metrics coming from the operating system (Ubuntu 20.04) which allow me to have a lot of information. But I would like to monitor the Emby service. I would like to know how I can detect when a client freezes because the CPU is overloaded? (Not based on CPU usage) I would also like to know if you know any other interesting metrics to monitor? Thanks in advance for your help.
Luke 42085 Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Hi, there is no universal way to do this that will work with all platforms.
Thuzad 50 Posted September 2, 2021 Author Posted September 2, 2021 So may I know some of these methods so I can try to see what I can do? I was thinking of monitoring the transcoding status and if it is below 2% for X minutes then I could raise an alert.
Thuzad 50 Posted February 15, 2022 Author Posted February 15, 2022 Hey can you help me to found metric to monitor ?
Luke 42085 Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Hi, there is no way to monitor this, but we're happy to help you resolve playback issues: Thanks. 1
Thuzad 50 Posted February 24, 2022 Author Posted February 24, 2022 I have sent you in PM an example of media playback that just freezes. I can't figure out where this is coming from. The transcoding speed seems to be ok. The internet connection is stable.
Luke 42085 Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 I see you're stuck on an old beta server version, so first I would update and then re-evaluate. 1
