Guest Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 (edited) Hi, Today I found a problem with subtitles and after testing some videos, I come to ask for help. I use movies with two versions (original audio and dubbed). The original audio version displays the subtitle normally, however the dubbed version does not display the subtitle. Both subtitles are displayed normally using another video player such as VLC. The interesting thing is that even forcing the manual display of the subtitle, it is not displayed, only in the dubbed version. On my user is set to "Always display subtitles" In the version with original audio this problem does not exist. Thanks for any tips. Edited September 1, 2021 by CarlosLima
Luke 42078 Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 Hi there, let's look at an example: Thanks.
Guest Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 I assume this is an automatic response? I don't see how to show an example of what was reported, other than what I mentioned in the topic. Thanks
Carlo 4561 Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 No, he needs the logs that go with the playback issue so we have something to look at to try and see what took place.

The log must be gigantic. To reset and relog. I log out of Emby, log in again and play back to record the same problem. Is correct? Thanks
Carlo 4561 Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 If you're going to retest something specific you don't need to log out. What you can do is go to the schedule task menu and run the log rotate function which will create a new server log. That will make it a lot smaller and easier to read.
Guest Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Today's log is attached. I don't know details of how the log works, but the problem mentioned in the initial post was confirmed even after resetting the emby and even the pc. The caption is in the video folder, with the same name as it might be in the initial post image. Subtitle is not displayed even though manual display is forced. Two customers confirmed that they could not see the subtitle and I confirmed that the subtitle was also in the media folder. embyserver.txt
Guest Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Oh, I didn't write it down. I'll redo with the time note and send a new log.
