How to identify this program

I want to have Emby identify this program

BBC3

year 1965

Tmdb id 8694-bbc-3

imdb id tt0179006

so when I identify it, it can find bbc3 all right, but when I hit ok it gets replaced by something called “Hacker’s Birthday Bash”

i challenge anyone to get this to work. I think it’s because when Emby finds the series, it then goes to this tvdb to fill out the data, which then gives a wrong response

Put TMDB on top of your meta-providers list (or only one selected) in your Library settings, once scraped lock the item and revert providers list as desired.

actually i just moved tvdb down the priority list, and that fixed it

Yes this sort of a defect with Identify as provider order is still used when actually getting the item.

Although I think improvements are possible, at least I can mostly make things work now

It's by design because if you refresh the metadata later it will get refreshed based on your library settings such as the order.
