"Play Next Episode" time duration?

What decides how much time is left in the episode for this to pop up?  I assumed it was around 30 seconds, but recently I've seen as little as 8 seconds before it pops up, and as long as 6 and a half minutes.

Yup, this checks out.  I'm using a Shield.

Check beta 2.0.40 then, it should've been addresed in 2.0.39, see how does that compare.
