Pa3400 1 Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Hello, I have a Synology DS918+ running DSM 6.2.2 and have accidentally installed the latest emby BETA version (emby-server-synology_4.7.0.7_x86_64.spk) and am now trying to downgrade to the latest stable version (emby-server-synology_4.6.4.0_x86_64.spk). When I try to overwrite the BETA version by manually installing the stable version over the top, I receive an error message stating "You cannot downgrade it the older version". Refer to uploaded screenshot. I do not want to uninstall and reinstall as I believe this will make me lose all my library and settings. Has anyone come across this before and what did you have to do to rectify it? Thanks.
Luke 42078 Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Hi, to my knowledge, Synology doesn't allow you to do that. You could stay on the beta until 4.7 releases, or uninstall/reinstall, and use our backup plugin to help preserve as much as you can.
Pa3400 1 Posted August 23, 2021 Author Posted August 23, 2021 Thanks for the info Luke. I’ll just wait until 4.7 releases.
