NOOB setting Linux File Permissions for all External Storage

Hello wanted to share something that worked for me, no idea if this is a bad way to do it but I am a noob and figured out this way (I tried following other posts but I just cant understand them enough to make it work) anyways:

I have multiple external drives connected to my system as NFTS and I want emby to have full permissions over all of them they are all stored in /Media/root/snb  (snb or directory is).

By user xdg-open /Media/root/  in a cmd I am able to see my directories
Right Click on snb (or whatever your directory is) - Properties - Permissions
change all permissions to Create and Delete Files
Click Change Permissions for Enclosed Files

change all to Create and Delete

this involved a lot of waiting and entering in my password but it allowed emby to have full access to all external drives :)

Hopefully this helps and if what I did was dumb please let me know how I can change it to maybe make it better, I am very new to linux and trying to learn its pretty frustrating at times...
