No cache on visible on my client

Hi, Im using Emby ver 1.810g on Nvidia Shield to connect to a shared media server over the internet. It direct plays content. off recently im experiencing frequent buffering issues and one thing i notice is that the Client doesnt create cache anymore. If i pause the playback it doesnt bulid the cache. Is there a setting i enable for this? I have an external drive connected to the Shield so the amount of cache is not a problem

Hey up, if by that you mean Emby for Android TV 1.8.10g, first thing you should try is update to current version (2.0.33 stable, 2.0.38 beta) as you are way behind.

Hi. Thanks. I have updated to the latest version. Unfortunately still can't see any cache. Does direct play not allow cache as opposed to transcoding?

What do you mean exactly by "can't see any cache" ?

I think we should probably look at a specific example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
