Riptide126 24 Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 So I recently added all nine seasons of the office to my emby server and for some reason the first two seasons show up as thumbnails for the british versions of the show, even though the episodes are from the american versions, and if i go into the metadata it is all for the british version of the show, I was just wondering if there was a way I could fix that without having to manually go through each episode and fix everything.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 What provider id shows for the Series? Best guess is Emby pulled the wrong version and you would need to select Identify on the Series and search series or provide a correct provider id for that Series. 1
Riptide126 24 Posted August 20, 2021 Author Posted August 20, 2021 Where would I find the provider id

Maisy 37 Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 When I first put The Office (US) into Emby it identified it wrongly too. I manually identified it, picked the right one, and all was well. 2
Riptide126 24 Posted August 20, 2021 Author Posted August 20, 2021 So when I look at the metadata for the show the imdb id is correct but the tvdb id is not, so if I change the tvdb id it should fix it? Also how would I find that because for some reason when I looked at the tvdb website and found the office the number I was given wasnt working.

If you edit wrong IDs you are required to Refresh metadata. If you use Identify with the id then Emby will replace the metadata. What do you mean wasn't working?
Riptide126 24 Posted August 20, 2021 Author Posted August 20, 2021 (edited) Nevermind it worked when i just identified it, though now I have a show that I can't identify at all, should I make a different forum for that though? Edit: I just had to try different ids until i found one that identified the show, so this is all fixed now Edited August 20, 2021 by Riptide126
Luke 42083 Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 how did you name the series folder for the office?
Carlo 4561 Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Try renaming the folder to "The Office (US) (2005)". 1

Riptide126 24 Posted August 22, 2021 Author Posted August 22, 2021 Ah ok, ill make sure I have it as the correct file name
