Will a cache ssd help making Emby more responsive?

I used to have my Emby server on a PC. That worked fairly well for Emby. Starting up apps the icons did populate quickly. Last year I migrated to a QNAP NAS. All is well, but it takes Emby clients more time to start up. Will adding a SSD help?

Hi, in theory yes, although it's hard to make any guarantees. I saw an improvement after testing one on a Synology.

Thanks. There must be someone here with the experience. But I was looking for a reason to add an ssd for a long time

Adding an SSD will help not only with emby but also with general access of frequently accessed files.
