Migrated from Ubuntu to Synology

Hi,

 

I recently migrated both my Emby server and media from Ubuntu to Synology DSM 7.  Fresh install of the newest version of Emby on DSM.

Copied all my media over to the Synology and used the configuration backup/restore plugin after pointing to the location of my media.  No trouble accessing/playing that media in its new location.  Most of my "persons" (pictures of those people) came over, but many of them are missing.  Additionally, none of what was previously marked as "favorite" on my Ubuntu box is favorite now in my Synology. At some point in the past people were stored  by name in their own folder; I've copied that over and rescanned my library but still many are showing as missing (just the generic person silhouette).

Where/how do I get my favorites and the pics of all my persons moved over to the new Synology server?

I would use the plugin again and try to restore users and userdata again.

As for people that is a little problematic as they have changed multiple times over the years.  And the new way is not how the people have ever been save previously.

But you can try to run the "Scan Metadata Folder" task if you have \metadata\people.
