Parental control - country specific certification

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi..

The question is simple..

In emby we have this:

Screenshot_20210816_184438.thumb.jpg.9d7bb769b623b1dbe6a82439333e913d.jpg

I use the first group for my children

The movie "the lion king" in tmdb has an it certification of T and in emby I have "IT-T"

Are there a way to add it to the group?

Hi, what do you mean by add it to the group? What group are you referring to?

The selected one from the screenshot.

The one containing tv-y, approved, etc

There is no way to do that. What metadata country have you configured?

This is my son profile:

OK, there's no way for you to do this, but we can add italian ratings to our system for the next release. Thanks.

Great,thx!

But why don't you plan to make it user customizable? It can resolve the problem once for all! You can't keep adding country specific rating manually forever..

Yes we should do that, but until such time that we've added that feature, we can add it to our internal listing.

I understand..

Thx for adding it in next release..

Did you add only the IT-T or all the Italian ratings? (according to tmdb and Wikipedia data's)

I added all of the ones from wikipedia.

But per the linked wiki what is 0+?  Where is 0+ coming from?

Unless defined it would be an Unknown rating.

Good point.

I think that is from the russian (show origin) rating:

https://rating-system.fandom.com/wiki/Russian_Age_Rating_System#:~:text=0%2B rating uses black text,16%2B correspond to traffic lights.

The show on TMDB is marked as 0+

Don't we already have RU?

            LoadRatings("ru", new[] {

                new ParentalRating("RU-0+", 1),
                new ParentalRating("RU-6+", 3),
                new ParentalRating("RU-12+", 7),
                new ParentalRating("RU-16+", 9),
                new ParentalRating("RU-18+", 10)
            });

@Happy2Play

on the profile configuration I can select only:

IT-T (0-6 years ratings)

IT-6+ (6 years+ ratings)

and so on.

in the IT-T I think the 0+ russian rating (and all 0+ ratings) must be included..

Please tell me if I'm wrong.

But there is no such thing.

Don't know the index used for IT but would assume IT-T = RU-0+

@Luke Is this not mapping properly when fetched?  To me this would be considered Unknown.

@Lukesorry this is a metadata provider order issue as I had TVDB before TMDB, once I switched, I got correct rating.

Issue with TVDB rating mapping

    "contentRatings": [{
            "id": 184,
            "name": "0+",
            "country": "rus",
            "description": "Suitable for all ages",
            "contentType": "",
            "order": 0
        }, {
            "id": 242,
            "name": "TV-Y",
            "country": "usa",
            "description": "Suitable for children ages 2–6",
            "contentType": "",
            "order": 0
        }

The data snippet was from the TVDB series.json so if metadata came from TVDB you on get 0+ but if it comes from TMDB you get RU-0+.

I've tvdb prioritized over tmdb too..

Is tvdb 0+ incorrect over the RU-0+?
