Hide shows that don't have any files?

Is it possible in the Shows view (TV show library, shows tab) to not show empty shows?  By that I mean, there is a folder for the show series on disk, but no actual video files are in the folder on disk.  I know I can filter to show only 'unplayed', but that doesn't work for me.

That should be default behaviour, I'd say? I have no empty Movies nor empty TV Shows shown in any library (but are visible under Folders tab), and I do have few of them in either category created by 3rd-party software used for tracking purposes.

Edit: Do you have some nfos in those folders, some artwork or other files, that might trigger Emby?

I've kind of grown to like this as Emby does show empty folders so you can fix it either by populating the folder with media or just removing the folder if not needed keeping things tidy.

In my particular case, it is a 'Recorded TV' library.  Once I watch shows in this library, they automatically get transcoded to h.265 and moved into a different library.

So...If I delete the folders, I lose certain Series info (meta data, artwork, etc), not to mention I would have to create a script to delete folders, but only if they don't have video files.

But, because next week (or next month, or next year) a new episode will air, I don't want to lose that data.

Also, to be clear, I am not looking to make this the default behavior, but a 'filter' option would be nice.

I never see empty folders listed in main tab, either in Movies or TV Shows?

The folders aren't completely empty, they have nfo files and images, but no video files.

Nope, still ain't getting it to be shown. Copied the artwork from A Christmas Carol, modified nfo, still getting it only under Folders view, not in Shows view.

Maybe movie libraries are different, I don't know. I have a ton of empty series showing up.

That's TV Shows library, as visible from the screenshots.

sorry, was looking at it from my phone, just saw Taken, and made an assumption.  Here is a screen shot of my Recorded TV view.

But I did some more testing.  I had Season folders with a Season.nfo file. When I deleted the season folder with the nfo file in it, the image for Young Sheldon went away.

There you go. I reckon you really don't need those Season folders, that's a breeze to scrape.

I moved the season.nfo file into the root directory, and deleted the season folder, and it went away.  But, when I recreated the season folder, it came back.

agreed.  Actually, the new recording engine doesn't create season folders by default, so this should fix itself over time.

Only way I get empty series is if the series folder has subfolders ie Specials/Seasons.  A Series folder without subfolders does not show up at all for me.

As I see it: if you want a solution now - dump those season folders (why would you have them anyway? While I do understand those empty show folders, as I do the same, what's the point in empty season folders). Else, wait for a server upgrade.

I add the season folder so I have these empty items to accommodate upcoming new series, and they fill the Upcoming tab.

That is what I did.  It is working as I want it to now.

In my case, I can use the upcoming in my TV Shows library, which has all the shows I keep after transcoding in it.  But to be honest, I didn't even know there was an upcoming tab!  But I don't typically use Emby as the front end.  I use Kodi, with Emby4Kodi (or whatever it's called now) so I can utilize EDL files (commercial skipping).
