Will emby work with no internet?

If I have a windows server running Emby and the Emby app running on a Shield, does that setup work without an internet connection? LAN only. Anyone tried it?

I run it offline 6-7 months a year. Works like a charm, although it needs to occasionally call home for Premiere verification. 

Edit: If you ain't subscribed to Premiere, you can Unlock app on Shield for full playback.

Good to know thanks, I let me premiere drop when I went away from live tv. But I have paid for the Android app.
