As777 27 Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 I am a system developer and was involved in creating a client/server solution for our admin to upload the weekly presentation video and deploy to the TVs in the office. The solution was rudimentary and works from Azure with content deployment to Raspberry Pis connected to the TVs. The main problem at the time was bandwidth limitations so we had to download the video to the PI storage and monitor for changes. The system we have works but the administration control is very poor and the solution is convoluted for anyone else to maintain or setup a new client. I'd like to know if it's possible to configure Emby in someway where we can have a client on each Raspberry Pi and deploy video to all clients with a one-click solution. The video or video playlist should loop. If this can be done, will the videos be cached or streamed on each iteration? Usually, we only have one video at a time....but I have ambitions to support even pictures and additional videos.
Carlo 4561 Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Hi, no unfortunately there is no way to do something like that in Emby. However, if you can keep the media on the server you could setup a playlist of media that you can play from a client that will optionally repeat.
