Sakashi 0 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 Checked my convertion and saw that the files are not getting transfered after converting. Granted Emby full access to media folder, yet nothing can be transfered. Is this a common issue? embyserver.txt
Carlo 4561 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 Hi, I think we've only seen this when Emby Server didn't have proper access to the folder.
FrostByte 5392 Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 appears to be a permissions issue, this error repeats several times Data path: /var/packages/EmbyServer/var Application path: /volume1/@appstore/EmbyServer/system System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path is denied. ---> System.IO.IOException: Operation not permitted 1
Carlo 4561 Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Did you grant read/write access to this share for the system internal user? Does "emby" own the folders?
Sakashi 0 Posted August 10, 2021 Author Posted August 10, 2021 Emby has been granted full access to the share. Not sure if it got all permission on the data path or Application path, but hopefully it sets this as Emby is set up?
FrostByte 5392 Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 (edited) Did you use the "system internal user" when setting all permissions? The oldy emby user is no longer used Edited August 10, 2021 by FrostByte 1
Sakashi 0 Posted August 10, 2021 Author Posted August 10, 2021 Yes. So I tried to setup my NAS all over, and now the convertion does not even start, just stopping on "Download". Cannot see anything in the logs even
Sakashi 0 Posted August 10, 2021 Author Posted August 10, 2021 Added a new file, it get listed but get stuck on downloaded. Start the Schedule task, runs for 1 sec and nothing in the logs
Carlo 4561 Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Have you looked at the source file to see if the TV profile would change it in any way? It could very well be the file was already in the correct format and there was nothing to do.
Sakashi 0 Posted August 10, 2021 Author Posted August 10, 2021 Tested with a new file. it then started to convert, but added two in the queue. One fails and one says ready to transfer, but fail with same error with access. Even though Emby got full read/write permission on the share and folders
Sakashi 0 Posted August 10, 2021 Author Posted August 10, 2021 Update: It does replace the file as it should, just leaves a lot of errors. So it works, just the conversation shows wrong it seems
Luke 42078 Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 What is the storage that you're trying to send it to?
Sakashi 0 Posted August 11, 2021 Author Posted August 11, 2021 Just to the local drive. Only one drive in the NAS, no external

Sakashi 0 Posted August 13, 2021 Author Posted August 13, 2021 Yes and no. It still tries to transfer without end, even tho the file was moved and replaced the original. Fun new bug, the converted video went from 20 min to 3 min
