osty2012 1 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 All my Trailers are store in the Folder of the movie in the same directory as the moviefile and has "-trailer.mp4" as extension for example: Thelma & Louise (1991)-trailer.mp4 I have also tried Thelma & Louise (1991) - trailer.mp4 . But these trailers get ignored and instead they are pulled from youtube..always ugly, lowquality trailers. Is it possible to configure the serversoftware only to pull from youtube if no *trailer.ext is found ? Thx

I've got ALL my trailers locally stored, and have no issues whatsoever, them being stored either in Movie folder or \trailers\ subfolder. Note that if you keep them in your movie folder, name should be <moviefilename>-trailer.ext, not <foldername>-trailer.ext. Edited August 9, 2021 by GrimReaper76 Typo 1
Luke 42078 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 Hi, can you give a complete file and folder naming example? Thanks
osty2012 1 Posted August 9, 2021 Author Posted August 9, 2021 Yes, The folder is called: Thelma & Louise (1991) The Main Movie is named Thelma & Louise (1991).mkv . The Trailer is called Thelma & Louise (1991)-Trailer.mp4 . They are in the same directory because my zidoo player can handle this with his own movie app fine for Trailer viewing. For some reason I always, or in most cases, I get pulled German trailers from youtube. Wonder if theres maybe something wrong here depending what your location is. Could be possible that for "English Locations" maybe local Trailers work and maybe like for German..."Always pull German Youtube Trailer"
Carlo 4561 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 What program are you using to pull down trailers?
osty2012 1 Posted August 9, 2021 Author Posted August 9, 2021 (edited) I just download the highest quailty trailer I can find and store them in the movie folder. No special programm. Where or how emby get the trailers that I dont want...I dont know...emby does it. I just tried something... Usually my Movies are named with its German Title. and the Trailer : Same title-Trailer. I just looked for a title where the Original Title is the Same as the German title and VOILA!... Emby plays the local stored trailer. When the Movie title is: Ein Fisch namens Wanda (1988) and the Trailername Ein Fisch namens Wanda (1988)-Trailer.mp4 But the Original title is: A Fish Called Wanda (1988) ..... Emby tries for some Reason to pull a German Trailer from youtube. Seems Emby looks for a "A Fish called Wanda-Trailer" can find it and does you youtube search for "Ein Fisch namens Wanda" Trailer Edited August 9, 2021 by osty2012
Carlo 4561 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 @Luke is the server using the library settings (language) to determine if a local trailer is used?
osty2012 1 Posted August 9, 2021 Author Posted August 9, 2021 I figured it out...The problem was old nfo left in a subfolder. Deleted all these folders and now all local Trailers play nice. Thx. 1
Carlo 4561 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 Yea, that sounds a lot better. Glad you got it figured out!
