[Security/Question] Can account be locked for ever by security ?

Hi everyone,

I got my account locked today for security mesures (someone from another country tried to access my account). First of all, that's something I'm grateful. Gave me times to change my password, just in case... But I have to wait something like 30 minutes I guess before being able to use my medias again.

I was wondering, if someone is trying again and again to connect on my account (unsucessfully) can it "lock loop" my account for 30 minutes again and again ? I was just curious to know if this situation ever happened.

Hi.  Exactly what account are you referring to?  Nothing should be able to keep you from accessing your own server.

i believe he's talking about Emby Connect account getting temp locked.

Yes Emby Connect accounts can be temporarily locked after enough unsuccessful login attempts.

But you would still be able to access your server directly.
