Stargrazer82301 4 Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 For the past few days, Emby has stopped playing most videos on my Chromecast. No matter whether I try to play using the Android app (tried through multiple devices), or using Chrome on Windows. When I try to cast Emby on my TV Chromecast (ie, not play videos, but just the "ready to play" with media information, etc), that works fine. But when I try to play actual videos on the TV via Chromecast (from Android app or from Windows browser app), I just get a black screen on the TV. No spinning circle, no media information and progress bar, nothing. And on the device I'm casting from, I get the screen with play/pause/stop/skip/etc, but it just stays at 0 seconds. This is happening for most videos. For some TV series, it still plays videos okay, but for most others, it won't play at all. Stargrazer82301 4 Posted August 7, 2021 Author Posted August 7, 2021 Thanks for suggestion - I failed to mention that I had already tried this. Both a software reboot, and power-disconnect reboot.
