Emby Has Stopped Playing On Chromecast

For the past few days, Emby has stopped playing most videos on my Chromecast. No matter whether I try to play using the Android app (tried through multiple devices), or using Chrome on Windows.

When I try to cast Emby on my TV Chromecast (ie, not play videos, but just the "ready to play" with media information, etc), that works fine. But when I try to play actual videos on the TV via Chromecast (from Android app or from Windows browser app), I just get a black screen on the TV. No spinning circle, no media information and progress bar, nothing. And on the device I'm casting from, I get the screen with play/pause/stop/skip/etc, but it just stays at 0 seconds.

This is happening for most videos. For some TV series, it still plays videos okay, but for most others, it won't play at all. It doesn't seem to be related to file format (eg, some MKV series play, some don't).

Help appreciated!

HI, please try rebooting your Chromecast device, then try to play again and see if that helps. Thanks.

Thanks for suggestion - I failed to mention that I had already tried this. Both a software reboot, and power-disconnect reboot.
