BUG: MetaData doesn't recognize DTSX

Recommended Posts

Hi

IT appears Emby Server doesn't pick up DTS:X in the metadata

As you can see below MediaInfo see the DTS:X ( I've tested numerous movies and the format is DTS XLL X )

And the movie selection shows it as DTSHDMA

Hi, besides the way it shows in the UI does it play ok?

You can not really compare to what mediainfo sees as we use ffmpeg/ffprobe.  Isn't this a limitation of what ffmpeg/ffprobe is seeing?

We'll have to look into whether or not ffprobe can give us this information. It will not affect playback though, only the information display.

Thanks for the feedback guys

Correct, it's a FFPROBE error

Someone asked about it playing properly and I find that FullSBS (video file is 4K rez) with DTS-X plays out of sync - if a use PotPlayer it plays perfectly.   Should I log this as a seperate issue?

I think ffprobe just hasn't added support for it yet but we'll look into it. Thanks
