They are local users but they access through a two router so they would be remote connections

Could you try this with a true external user?

yes, one sec

I tried with a remote and a local connection and it won't let me play at the same time

I tested with two remote connections from the same router and it won't let me play at the same time

Not sure, but I think that's the key.  It seems like this setting applies to external users that have an IP not in the local LAN.

In any case I do not think it matters if they are local or remote, the limitation of how many simultaneous reproductions you can have is in the account and it is not working correctly for me, there are two users that I see reproduced in two devices at the same time with limitation to one

@Luke Is this suppose to apply to all users regardless if local or remote or only to remote users?
The description isn't clear but this appears to work only for remote users.

all my users are remote ... except me

If you're the admin and the only local user why would you need this to work for local IPs?

I never said that ... my problem is that some accounts are playing on two devices simultaneously when I have one assigned to them

It is a Premiere option and it is not working for me as it should

Sorry maybe I misunderstood "I tested with two remote connections from the same router and it won't let me play at the same time".

Have you tried removing the device (Dashboard device menu) the problem user is using to force a login/reload of settings for them?

Can a user who is authorized on a single device log in on another? This should not be possible.

You can set the user to only allow them to login on a specific device.

You have to allow them to login 1 time first on the device, then you can lock them to just that device.

I can't do it ... the same account connects from the same device but on the emby server it comes out as several devices ... that's why I'm using the limitation of a single playback at a time

blocking the account to a device is not an option for me

The problem is the following: Why “Maximum simultaneous video transmissions” does not work at 100%

that restriction is supposed to apply to the account
