Chris442 3 Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 I recently noticed the Friends series on channel 55 NIK was recording all Friends episodes. I went to the Series tab and it wasn't listed there but it is showing the upcoming episodes to be recorded under the Schedule tab. I went to channel 55 and tried to cancel the series but the activity circle just continues to spin... embyserver.txt
Carlo 4561 Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 That's strange. I don't know if this will help but you can try and deactivate channel 55 from the Dashboard Live TV Channel menu. That should remove the scheduled recordings. Then reactivate channel 55 and see if the schedule recordings come back (they may). It's easy enough to try so...
Chris442 3 Posted August 3, 2021 Author Posted August 3, 2021 Cayars - Thanks for the reply. I saw that suggestion in an old post but I don't see that option under the Live TV /DVR section of the Dashboard. All I see are options to move the channel or edit it but nothing under those to deactivate it.
Carlo 4561 Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 Remove the green check mark here to deactivate the channel.
Solution Chris442 3 Posted August 3, 2021 Author Solution Posted August 3, 2021 Ok, I see. I was on the Server Dashboard and didn't realize we could just "uncheck" a channel. I did that and then waited for the guide to refresh (watched the progress on the server dashboard) and then the upcoming recording schedule was updated and didn't show any upcoming recordings. I rechecked the channel and they didn't come back either! Great tip. Thank you!
Carlo 4561 Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 Just to make sure with the channel active again, force a full guide refresh and check the schedule again. You should be fine but let's verify.
Chris442 3 Posted August 3, 2021 Author Posted August 3, 2021 Full refresh completed and it still looks good! 1
