When the URL contains encoded characters. like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Puddin%27_Head_poster.jpg (%27 is an apostrophe), the add fails with message "There was an error processing the request. Please try again later."

It also fails on this URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_and_Victoria#/media/File:Victor_and_Victoria_(1933_film).jpg

And this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page#/media/File:Household_Cavalry.jpg

I don't know if this is just a problem with Wikipedia in general, or their use of unusual characters in URLs.

But as long as I'm talking about the Add Image function: There are three ways to add an image (Thank You!), but only search and select are shown without clicking on the three dots. Please add the URL icon!

I would say the site or the url as the image url actually is https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4d/Victor_and_Victoria_(1933_film).jpg

And the same here https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/09/Household_Cavalry.jpg

So it is a matter of truly getting to the image as the url looks a little deceiving.

Okay, I'm not sure how you found those URLs. When I right click on the image and select "copy link" or "open image in new tab", those are the URLs I get.

But that's okay, Windows "Snip & Sketch" is my friend.  🙂

I noticed the same, but actually clicking the image changed the url, so I can only guess it is something the site is doing.

This is not a direct image url. It is a url to the web page, along with an instruction for the webpage to overlay the image on top. The actual image url is:

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4d/Victor_and_Victoria_%281933_film%29.jpg

So, expected behavior for that one.
