is fine to still use the unsecured app.emby.media site. And will yall ever make where you don't have to create ssl certificate to use the https version of the site I am just wondering

Hi, https requires an ssl certificate. There's no way around that. That's why the http version of app.emby.media is still available, because if you haven't setup ssl on your emby server, then you won't be able to use the https version.

there isn't wrong with using the http version of app.emby.media I can still use it just like the https version it just won't be secure right

Correct, although if you sign in with emby connect, then the sign in process is over https.

Hi, please check your spam folder. If it's not there then send an email to billingsupport@emby.media and we'll look into it. Thanks.

Hi.  We cleared this up, correct?  It was a typo in your email if I recall?

There's no appreciable reason why http://app.emby.media does not have a certificate. The fact that a username and password can be sent over the wire to Akamai/Linode without any protection is baffling.

Let's Encrypt is free and easy to use.

But still requires you to have a cert on your server.

httpS://app.emby.media works just fine when you do.

Then the last step, still neglected, is a simple redirect from HTTP to HTTPS.

But you can not redirect if you the user does not have cert on your cert.  So until everyone has a cert it can not force redirect.
