Camera upload uploads complete folders every time

Hi,

I searched but couldn't find this topic,

I have started using Camera upload, (i also initially had the multiple library folder issue but when i deleted them from the library after the initial upload it hasn't come back). My questions is about how it uploads, what i see every time i connect to my home network in the notification bar is that Emby is syncing a camera folder. but instead of just uploading the 1 new file it uploads the whole folder (or at least a large portion), depending on the folder it is between 3 GB and 12 GB (this corresponds with the data  transfer rate from my phone showing over 2 MBps).Then at the end the notification says 1 file  this is fine on my home network but if i log onto wifi away from my home network this would use a ridiculous amount of data. the upload goes on for at least a minute (@ 4-6MB/s = approx 240-360MB of data for a 6 MB file), network activity on the server agrees that there is a lot of data being transfered

Is this normal?

Hi, is the file(s) on your phone getting updated by some app running on the phone or similar to get an update?

What do the timestamps on the files look like?

Hi, it depends on if those files have been previously successfully uploaded or not. If they haven't, then it will upload them all.

The tests i have run is that i have waited for it to upload all of the photos. then in the example above i too 1 photo that was 6 MB then re opened the android emby app. then the sync started and as you can see it says it only uploaded 1 photo yet it sat at 2-6 MBps for 1 minute. This was also the only active things the phone was doing, there was nothing else uploading.

just now i have opened the emby app and allowed it to attempt an upload, attached is a montage of screen shots, in the end no files were uploaded as there is no new pictures in the folders ( i only have 2 set to synch) . this upload cycle went on for 10 minutes (i got sick of taking screen shots every time something changed) but as you can see the speed and time is up the top (photos are in order of when it happened) , the number of files and size of the total upload jus t keeps changing.
