Why does long press take a long time to load in big playlist?

I'm trying to edit a big music playlist with 9,000 songs and it takes more than 30 seconds to load additional options with long press. Pretty much any action takes a long time. I understand the first load of the playlist would take a long time, but why do actions after the initial load take a long time? Can this be improved? Sometimes I can't even get the other options to show. This doesn't seem to be an issue in the web app, just the Android app.

Is anyone else seeing this issue? It seems like it's reloading the playlist every time, but I don't understand why.

@Luke I tested this on beta and it runs REALLY fast! Not sure it'll be the same when it hits stable, but given my stable and beta are on the same PC I would hope that it would be just as fast.
