Q-Droid 989 Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 It's a test folder so nothing was lost. The movie was properly identified and had eight versions in a single folder of a mixed content library. The versions were split apart in the UI and when I selected one of them for deletion the folder and all the other versions were also removed. Not what I intended. Normally I keep multiple versions grouped in the UI and have to delete multiple times to remove all from the same folder. This happened more than once, the attached log is from the second test. embyserver-up1.txt
Carlo 4561 Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 That I would think would be the default behavior. What did it show you on the delete confirmation page?
Q-Droid 989 Posted July 25, 2021 Author Posted July 25, 2021 The message wasn't ambiguous and did what it stated. I'm used to having to delete more than once for multiple versions but now I think that's just old info left behind in the UI and all of the files and folder themselves are removed the first time. I thought the split view of the versions would also allow me to selectively delete but if what happened instead is the expected behavior then so be it. "Delete Item Deleting this item will delete it from both the file system and your media library. The following files and folders will be deleted: /mnt2/Media/Video/Other/Test/The Conjuring The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) Are you sure you wish to continue?"
Carlo 4561 Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Looking at that it's telling you it's going to remove the folder. 1
