Not sure if you were able to find anything, but what I have realized is AC3 & E-AC3 files play without issue, so I believe I have an audio codec problem with my device.. All files converted in this format play directly without problems.

Only thing slightly unusual is the image in the file

This file plays fine for me both direct and transcoded from 4.6.03 and 4.6.05 Emby Servers.

I tested on Shield TV running on 2.0.33g so it's a new Emby ATV client.
Also tested on FireStick 4K with 2.033a

Sorry but I don't have the older client installed to test with.

That version is actually the release now.

True, so the Op just needs to update the app and will be on the same version we tested with on 2 clients against 2 server versions but with transcode and direct play.
