ng4ever 40 Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 He only has 25 Mbps AT&T DSL or ADSL. All I know it is the old copper. It is all he can get from AT&T where he lives Hoping Fiber gets to him in 5 years or less. Should we keep his Remote Video Quality to Auto or put it to 20 or 25 Mbps ? He has around 3 to 5 devices if it matters.
Luke 42077 Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 Hi, he could also run into ISP throttling. I'd probably start low, then raise as you see success.

Luke 42077 Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 Did you try setting it to a low value and then raising as you see success?

ng4ever 40 Posted July 18, 2021 Author Posted July 18, 2021 Wish it was possible to do remotely but it is ok. Would be nice to add as a feature though! My nephew is 2 hours to 3 hours away but I can have him do it for me. Just easier if I could do it myself.
Luke 42077 Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 You can use his user permissions to cap his remote streaming quality. Then even if he has specified a higher setting on his end, it will never exceed the value you set on the server. 2
