Is it possible to edit a collection to remove some of the drivel that is being imported. Of the scrapers, one imports very little, one is very poor quality (things missing) and that leaves the other. It started with actors and director, then it became actors, director(s) and a few other crew. It is now getting way out of hand. Last scrape imported a ridiculous list of actors (many showing as uncredited), but now its the 10 producers, the person designing the storyboard (literally who cares - its nothing we the viewers get to see!?), composers, story writers, authors, screenwriters... etc. Need a way to limit the drivel, cast is the cast, the identifier is the same, but the other roles have a few identifiers. Is it possible, even with the API, to remove from a collection all entries for screenwriter (or any other crew role) that I simply don't care about, which is simply bloating the db, not to mention the .jpg headshots being downloaded.

Well that took me a hot minute to find, but that helped nudge me in the right direction. I had changed these some time back as part of my troubleshooting with no effect. Those are currently set to 5 / 99 / 30

Sorry, buddy. That doesn't work. Like the user above, I tried all that. Once they are gone, they never come back. Scan media and refresh metadata have no effect.

I just had to come in here and say this has become my absolute favorite plugin for Emby. I only installed it the other day, and I'm already having so much fun creating channels for my archive. Thanks for making this one.

Primarily resource consumption.

Very simple little plugin. Customize the new banner feature in the Emby server beta. Cycle between messages - It's not a live cycle so requires reload of mainpage. Show Movie, Show, Episode, Video count. Show latest movie and/or TV show. Add Emojis (for what ever reason ) Can look into adding more if people want it. ONLY WORKS WITH EMBY SERVER BETA!! Some custom genres and mostly original montage collection posters... My idea was to create fun images that are easy to pick, without even checking the title. Time Travel and Super hero are original new genres that you have to add content yourself. They do not pull in any media automatically. There are also a few collection posters that have more specialized themes. I have 20 different plot / story type collection posters, but I assume no one else would every bother making those, I added these custom plot collections and then manually added all the movies to their matching types, which is a lot of organizing. It does seem to help a lot with 'more like these' row suggestions. Rather than making all genre's and collection posters look similar, I thought having variety was more fun. I just tell my users to f-off if they can't remember there own created password. And tell them to check there email I send them ID10T users are always in the way of my sleeping habits .

And still having changed nothing, I'm again unable to access my server remotely. I'm getting a CloudFlare timeout error when I attempt to access my domain, and a browser timeout error when I attempt to access my WAN IP.

Hi, is there any way to change a movie's poster (also) based on the audio track? Let's say I have an animated movie with two different languages (English and something else), can I select the English audio track and let Emby show the English poster and by selecting the other audio track show a different poster? Would be great for movies with different dubs and even different titles (like Zootopia is called Zootropolis in Europe I think). And it would of course be even greater if there could be an accompanying summary (that you can enter manually, as I don't think the metadata providers provide in other languages than English?) in the user's native language, for example so that kids can read it easier or by themselves. (Sorry for the bad images, these are caused by HDR)

interesting. this appears to be a tmdb issue where the English genre for Frankenstein is Fantasy and the French translation they have is Fantastique rather than Fantaisie

That would be nice to stop the explosion of absolute nonsense being imported in the future. How to expunge the drivel already imported? For some recent titles it has become 20+ entries, multiple producers (bean counters and vanity credits), screenwriters, storyboard artists, novel, screenplay, original score (really), composer... an increasing amount of mostly irrelevance. Not that Emby is responsible for what the scrapers put in the DB, but surely there is a mechanism to block/filter out the dross (and remove it from what has been catalogued). Not sure if SAG-AFTRA have bought one of the scraper databases, but the list of non-actors is getting out of control.

I've been saying this exact thing for so long as well. I'm actually surprised more people haven't pointed this out because it is so goddamn annoying to keep getting these vague, uninterested and generic responses from Luke. Too many people are treating this like a Jellyfin forum, thinking that the devs at Emby are "doing us a favor" by providing this service. When in fact the opposite of this is true. Simply put, this is still a business at the end of the day. We paid for a product and expect said product to work, or at least have these problems resolved when they are reported. If not for lack of options I am certain that most of us would abandon Emby in a heartbeat, myself included. These people get away with treating their customers like crap only because of lack of competition, but all things come to an end one day.

Well there seems to be some sort of issue here. I ran the following test on a couple Apple TVs: Apple TV 4K (tried a gen 2 and gen 3) tvOS 26.4 Emby App 2.0.5 (3) - Testflight I deleted the Emby app and all data completely, then re-installed a fresh version via TestFlight and: Supplied my server address and port (https://emby.mydomain.com:443) Logged in as user A Went to Settings > Display and set “Show login screen” for Startup Behavior Exited the Emby app and then forced quit it (as it seemed to say some setting changes require it) Launched the Emby app and saw the login selector (which I do see after force quitting) Verified the that “Show login screen” was still set in settings Exited Emby app Waited 15 mins (used other apps) Launched Emby and was still automatically logged in as user A So then I thought maybe two users need to be logged in (?) so… Chose “Change User" in Settings and logged in as user B Exited the Emby app Waited 15 mins (used other apps) Launched Emby and was still automatically logged in as user B Not sure if I’m missing something here, or there is some new bug, but I can’t seem to get this to work. Does it require user PINs are set or something ?

Ok. This issue fixed itself. Turned out to be provider related and the fact that it happened right after I made the changes....pure coincidence. Marking it as solved.

Hi, yes we may offer remembering playback speed in future updates. We can look at making the button available without the menu, the problem is that our OSD already contains so many buttons that we'll have to look at what to take out in exchange. Thanks for the feedback.

Must admit i have purposely ignored doing anything to this plugin because i regret ever coming up with the idea for it. Almost every time i see it mentioned it's by people using it for their streaming shares (pirate Netflix servers) where they now (thanks to this plugin) now sell watching hours. I will look into this problem and after that i will delete everything to do with the plugin and hope the developers make something better and less beneficial for the pirates. This is nobody's fault other than those people using it for piracy!! Sorry you got to be the target of the rant, just had to get it off my chest.
