  1. New version (v5.52.2) out. This one fixes memory usage, memory leaks and performance issues. Been working on it for some time and memory usage should in some cases be almost halfed along with a descent performance uplift. Download it at: yocksers/EmbyIcons Github. Thank you to @Neminem for the help!

  2. Thought I'd mention that the skip intro does seem to be working fine on all new shows added, as well as having gone back to pick up older ones. Thanks for your help!

  3. OK! I've got a ton of media, so copying everything will take me a few days.

  4. Which subscriptions would those be? Have you installed your own server or someone shared access to their server with you? Quick Start

  5. Along with the corresponding log for that query. Using info from your provided screenshot Ideally you don't fill in all the fields if you provide a providerid in your search.

  7. No more that Emby has always used generating these interval placeholders. But yes, disabling it could speed things up when importing new items as it would be one less task to do. Will not apply to anything imported prior to changing this option.

  8. Our new ffmpeg will include this patch and the Win App betas (after the imminent new stable release) will have a new mpv dll based on that new ffmpeg.

  9. I've noticed that in this version the Home icon (the one that appears in the top left when you open a library) doesn't change color, whereas it did in version 4.115. How can I change it, since the other icons have changed color?

  10. And when might that be? This default font 'bug' is really annoying.

  11. Yeah, I sort of get that. But when I use the horizontal home screen setting. I get what I think is a better home screen layout for use on a TV with a remote like this. And then for local library content I pick the Shows icon from the Home Screen above and get taken to this view, see below, which has the titles and years under the posters, the filter and sort options and the letter jump list. But the VOD content isn't handled in the same way. But I guess this is because it's different content provided externally and by the plugin. It would just be nice if the views were consistent for the content but appreciate the horizontal view is sort of legacy and the VOD content isn't structured the same as a local content library. It was just a kind of would be nice to have kind of request.

  12. Please provide the server log from when you tried. Based on what you are saying, though, I'm guessing maybe a firewall or other network change has your server not able to reach the internet. Log Files

  14. You have a typo - not 5.52.3 but 5.52.2 according to GitHub and what I see in Emby

  15. After finding a moment to upgrade my Docker container to 4.9.3.0, I was able to reconnect Emby to Trakt. Thank you for getting this resolved.

  17. These appear to be errors where the Sky Golf channel has a generic logo and the Sky Sports + has the Sky Sports Arena logo I have opened two issues with gracenote to correct these errors

  18. Hi there, what metadata fetchers do you have enabled in the options for the library?

  19. It's fine. Active Streams is my plugin as well. I created Emby Streams first but then had a bunch of people request Jellyfin and Plex support so I pivoted. I've kept Emby Streams up to date feature wise with Active Streams but felt the same way about putting two in the CA store.

  20. Any updates since December last year ? First M1 has been released 6 years ago and still no proper support of hardware acceleration on the Mac Mini which is probably the best suited machine to host an Emby server.

  21. Aperture v0.7.6 Release Notes This release improves deployment (multi-arch Docker images for amd64 and arm64), user sync with Emby (respect disabled accounts), setup wizard job triggers, and STRM library lifecycle (automatic removal of virtual libraries and output folders when recommendations are turned off). Summary for Users Apple Silicon Macs and 64-bit ARM servers (e.g. Raspberry Pi with a 64-bit OS) can run the same pre-built container image as x86_64; Docker pulls the matching architecture automatically. If your server admin disables your Emby account, Aperture stops treating you as eligible for recommendation jobs once sync-users runs (default every 30 minutes). Initial setup jobs such as Sync Movie Watch History no longer fail with a validation error when started from the wizard. Summary for admins Disabling recommendations and STRM output When you turn off movies, series, or all recommendations for a user (Admin → Users), or when sync-users detects a user disabled on the media server, Aperture attempts to: DELETE the corresponding virtual library in Emby (by library name). Remove that user’s folders under /aperture-libraries/aperture and /aperture-libraries/aperture-tv (inside the Aperture container). Delete matching rows in strm_libraries. Failures talking to the media server (e.g. library already removed) are logged; database and filesystem cleanup still proceed where possible. The scheduled sync-movie-libraries / sync-series-libraries jobs also run a reconciliation pass to clean up stale library records. Docker image architectures Published images are multi-architecture manifests. No separate tag is required per CPU; use your existing ghcr.io/.../aperture image reference. Note: 32-bit ARM (arm/v7) is not a build target; use a 64-bit OS on Raspberry Pi for parity with dependencies (e.g. native modules). API notes (operators) Setup jobs: POST /api/setup/jobs/:name/run — the documented allowed name values now match the server (includes watch-history, embedding, library, and related job ids). Update instructions For Docker users docker compose pull docker compose up -d Apply database migrations per your process (pnpm db:migrate or automatic on startup, depending on deployment). Operator checklist Expect one-time sync — existing users get provider_disabled = false until sync-users runs and reads the current media-server flags. Thank you for running Aperture and reporting setup and deployment edge cases in the wild.

  23. I built an ffmpeg binary with video toolbox hwaccel and installed it over Emby's default ffmpeg. It still refuses to allow me to use it, because the detection process is closed-source. This is really pushing me towards an open source media solution.

  25. To give some specific details, the M1 Pro chip's MediaEngine can give you 20 streams of real time 4K H264 and H265 transcoded video with ZERO CPU or GPU involvement. The M1 Max can give 30 streams. Newer generation chips support even more streams, added 8K support, and additional codecs like AV1.

  26. It would be cool to allow Emby server users to comment what they think about a media piece. This could be shown on the top portion of a media info's page. Perhaps right under description, to encourage more user engagement.
