  1. Android beta 3.3.32 on Google TV with basic remote input. Pressing left on the D-pad from the guide currently produces a flyout with the options in this order with the initial selection being the username at the top. Username servername Settings Search Home My Media I propose that when the guide is up front, the left-hand flyout menu should have the "Channel tags" at the very top. The initial selection should be "Any." The order should be as it is in the m3u channel list, not alphabetical. We can sort them as we like that way. Making it editable within Emby is less important and could come later. Right now this app is really clunky in the guide for TV input remotes that don't have number pads. The Android TV Emby app works around this with a "#" button that brings up an on-screen number pad, and it also has a shortcut to "channel tags". However, both require you to go to the top of the guide first. Let us press left and pick our group. Thanks Emby team!

  2. Don't worry, I'm just mentioning it to help, don't rush things. Haste makes waste. The theme you created is very nice, and regardless of personal taste, I have to say I prefer blue to gold, as it gives it a different touch. Besides, the other theme I was using, from here, also has gold tones. Thanks for your help. I installed this latest version 96 and it looks the same; everything is still white in the settings options. I've attached a screenshot.

  4. New minor release - Version 3.3.2.0 Download .dll and full release notes: https://github.com/soderlund91/HomeScreenCompanion/releases/tag/v3.3.2.0 This updates contain some fixes and some requested features. Biggest one is that we are now able to build a home section row of selected collections as image below: IMPORTANT! Minimum required Emby server v4.10.0.8 Note Make sure to back up your settings before updating, just in case. Note Included a .NET V6 release, this is for MacOS or legacy support. This version is NOT tested. Release notes Improvements/updates Added ability to only show selected collections as a Home screen section. This way you can choose one or multiple collections to show on the home screen (no need to display all of them). See below how to set this up Cleanup menu Made the tags and collections clickable links to its own view (open in new tab) Added a filter for Tags Added a small popup/hover over the name that simply explains where the tag originated Fixes Fixed an issue in the cleanup where tags for some media types didn't populate the list. (Extras is now included with an "include extras" option.) Fixed an issue where blacklist didn't get applied when running a single group sync UI Remade the "Update available" to be dismissible. If dismissed a smaller discreet text will still be visible. _____________________________________________ Below is how to set up a home screen section with selected collections: Source = local collection / *Select what collections to include* Tag = *random tag name* (the selections on what level to tag will be ignored by the plugin) Collection tab: leave blank Blasklist tab: will probably not work **Important!** Home screen section tab: set media type to "Collections", you can play around with all other options Special thanks to @Aleasfor helping out with testing! 6. The browser I use is Brave Browser. What I mean is, in this image, the red text is headings or main text, and the yellow text is the same but not the same color. That's what I mean; it looks odd that some are one color and others are another.

  7. It's honestly easier to just have a separate library for 4k files, that way you can prevent people with potato internet or potato hardware from playing said files.

  8. @CBersI can confirm that doing a backup on the old Windows server, using the Legacy Backup & Restore plugin from here, then restore it on the new server installation on Linux works. I have created the same username on Linux. Thank you very much to all of you for your help!

  11. So it turns out I was wrong on two fronts. 1) I'm not done with it, and 2) It's not vibe-coded. I filed a bug report, and a new release should land soon to address the file descriptor exhaustion. I'm relieved, because I'd sunk quite a bit of time into setting up channels...the issue I experienced only manifested after I tried setting up music stations.

  12. Looking forward to it Luke because the random songs suddenly not playing problem has been spreading ^^ (sometimes even shows won't play in a browser but they will play in the app for example or after a reboot it suddenly will play an episode but then the next one won't. It's been annoying but i'm looking forward to the end of the forced beta state) And i had a feeling it wasn't a proper update because every single app had an update not just 1 or a couple which is why i figured it would be best to ask here first.

  13. Here's the fix for that one. This issue only affected the 4.9-Stable branch, 4.10-Beta did not have the issue. Updates: Created Hotfix for Muli-Select dropdown double-text glitch. (I'll remove the hotfix when 4.10 is released.) Emby Navy and Gold v4.85.css

  14. Any updates since December last year ? First M1 has been released 6 years ago and still no proper support of hardware acceleration on the Mac Mini which is probably the best suited machine to host an Emby server.

  16. You can't really hook an emby plugin into ffmpeg. ffmpeg is what does the raw decoding work, not emby server.

  17. Hi, we are looking into it. Thanks.

  18. It's not that kind of work. It's a matter of getting support for these files compiled into the server ffmpeg build.

  19. I have played around a bit and am finalizing this feature. As I suspected, the options are still available (but not in the Emby UI), so we can utilize this hidden feature and expose it in the plugin. I have built a proof of concept that works quite well, but it needs some polishing before release.

  20. The latest beta server build has a hidden config switch. so if you open up the /config/system.xml file, set ValidateImageTags to true and then start the server. this will make the image tag value required, which will be unique per image and therefore you won't be able to guess a url anymore. It's an opt-in config switch for now to allow for time to identify cases where that param may not be supplied.

  21. I agree this would a welcome addition. Basically what apps like IMPlayer and others do. There needs to be some way to quickly filter channels on the guide, especially when there can be hundreds now w/ iptv. And it's even more important on the TV clients (Apple TV, etc) vs mobile (which have filtering options on the guide) since navigation is more limited. I keep checking every Testflight in hopes it pops up.

  22. @Lukethe horizontal bar that the web UI has would be better than what we currently have, in TV mode. BUT, putting them in the fly-out to the left or even right, would be better. But one or the other or something else, please.

  23. I think it would be awesome if we had an Emby version of Plex Requests. It would make life so much easier...All it has to do is send me an email and that would be a great start.
