Removed the album from emby, deleted the discogs metadata und reuploaded it under the name testalbum with the album artist testartist. It worked even after renaming the album and the album artist. Funily enough: The faulty track still counts as played according to the bulky editor. Anyways: Thanks for your help!

I'm a plex life time member, but I have been using Emby for over six years continuously, but there is a feature which I have always thought is missing in Emby which I would like and encourage the developer to consider including especially in this dispensation where families can social or commingle due to COVID 19. Today, I received a notification from Plex about it new feature titled Watch together you can read about it here https://support.plex.tv/articles/watch-together/ The feature allows friends and families at distance to watch same movies together instantly, you simply invite all your buddy, once they signed to the system which can be seeing in the server then play and pause as needed, this I think is cool feature should be added to emby. I'd really like to have 2 Factor Authentication added to the login screen. It's just this (optional) extra layer of security to help secure the server (which, especially if people use camera uploads) contains pretty private data. There are for every type of programming language quite a few libraries available, so implementation on a server shouldn't be too hard to realise

As I'm transitioning from Volumio and Plex to Emby to centralize my usage to one app, the one thing I'm missing the most is gapless playback. This is particulary annoying when listening to albums like "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd. I'm experiencing a buffer of about 1 second in between songs, which really ruins the immersion. Would be awesome if this would be implemented in both the Chromecast, and web player.

Similar to this old post, I'm suggesting a tab that would be titled Watchlist and could be placed in between Suggestions and Favorites. The functionality would pretty much be a copy of Favorites, just with a + symbol added next to the heart and other symbols that let you favorite a movie etc. The previous post had mentioned extra functionality such as automatically removing a movie from Watchlist after it has been watched. This would be nice, but is unnecessary because after watching a movie you can simply click the + symbol a second time to remove it from Watchlist. I would imagine this would be very easy to implement as a rebranded copy of Favorites. Adding other features could come later. Edit: added link to old post

I am looking to see if a SAML2/OAuth plugin is something others would use. I myself would love this feature to share Emby publicly with family members and friend and worry a little less about insecure passwords that some may use. I personally am a big advocate for security as I work in IT and see how a lack of good security can cause havoc. I love Okta and what it offers. Anyone can sign up and use it for free under 1000 users if you sign up as a Developer. That is just plain awesome. Let's see who else is interested. I am excited to find out! Thanks

Issue: When holding down the back/return button on the remote the app just exits to the home screen. Exit app while menu is open is turned off in settings. However, the Samsung app doesn't flip back at all; it just exits right away. This can cause confusion when you use other apps. Haha, I'm sure you're right to be honest. My SO and I like to think of ourselves as cinephiles, so make of that what you will TBH I'd just be happy if we could prioritise the order of cast in the same row as a setting (which it sounds like @Lukeis implying we can now do). Keeping the UI simple is also an important balance.

This would only be an honest guess, but I would think you are in the minority on that. (I'm sure now people come through and tell me I am wrong. lol) I am not even saying they are not important, it's not something I care about, but I understand others do find that info very important. I do think emby should create a section for crew under the actors for those who want that info displayed. My issue as always though is that emby has very little in the way a customizing UI items(sections) like this. I have to use the WEB player/Browser so that I can remove unwanted items from the UI with custom CSS and can't use new windows app because of it. If this is added and we are not give option to remove it. I would have to have yet more CSS code to get rid of it.

For me, looks, everything works fine, only problem, Emby modified most of files for some reason as my rsync to backup server will take days as it's backing up now almost everything. It's not a problem, but as notice for future versions. My library not massive, only 70Tb combined, so will take few days to copy to backup server. Added log file. I think this is correct one. Automatic library scan still works only for very small libraries. For movies or tv shows still need to run manually or as scheduled task. Maybe because of too many folders? Happy that now movies can be in different folders! Of course not using that way but protects from typos, creating files. Also, looks, now showing chapter for each video file, not first video. P.s. @Luke It would be great to add feature "Clear saved track selections" for audio/subs per show instead resetting all files. Ok, so the problam was: there was an empty folder in the library, that had A SPACE after the name. Something like: "The Name " Thing is this folder was there for at least a year. Never had issues. The disk is fine, checked it during the night. I have 4 libraries with paths like: z:\Folder\_Shows, z:\Folder\_Movies etc

Wow, all of you posted much faster than I expected. The issue resolved on its own, or I believe it did. By mistake @brothomI did check that area "Series Metadata Downloaders" and they were all marked, but I hit save anyway. I suspected a problem with my metadata folder, so I told it to save to a new location. Then I did a full library scan, followed up by metadata refreshes for each library. Sometime later, i see everything about back to normal. Thank you @Happy2Play & @Luke I figured I'd post what ended up occuring should anyone else have the same issues as before: TLDR: Lost almost all my cover, box, art Step 1 Ran a library scan twice Step 2 Ran metadata scans Step 3 Made a new metadata save location Step 4 Ran library scan again Step 5 ran a metadata scan again It's possible that it was working between Step 1, Step 2, or Step 3, but I wasn't patient enough. Debian is a very stable & secure server OS, but it is generations behind (intentionally) for GPU drivers. I spent weeks troubleshooting the No Compatible Streams error in my Debian Linux based Emby Server. I'm guessing this only happens when transcoding (not direct streaming) & only for certain file types, HECV, DV, HDR10+. The reason it is failing, is that Debian is running Intel GPU Drivers v22 or less. The versions there after, added a great deal of transcoding support. Even using experimental driver repo's I was unable to force Debian to accept the current Intel 25 LTS GPU drivers. Swap to ubuntu, load the latest intel drivers, & all of these issues go away. Still 884. Maybe your other app is smart and can switch to the player_api.php on failure, it uses the same username and password. I noticed an option in your screen grab to force m3u enable that and see if it work.

Just tried what doozah mentioned by the Android app has also updated unfortunately. @Luke far too many years ago to remember the media centre plugin, I was there, but my brain has removed that memory. I think we need to consider the functionality removal of this change rather than looking at long term history. The fact is, the previous view was working well for recordings, and the new view is not. When consolidating the views, the existing view obviously was not considered which is kind of disappointing, to a) remove it without a forthcoming deprecation status, b) considering how users are actually engaging with the Live TV system. I'm currently using the windows app, as most of my watching is Live TV which has been seriously impaired due to this un welcome change.

It prompted you if you had many recordings do you want to chnge to title view said no and that was it. You always had an option to change the view later on this is all we are asking that there is an option. For some users series view may be perfect I delete after i watch unless it is a movie some I keep. I am sure many of us are in the same boat. We were all looking forward to a new release but this is a horrible disappointment and it needs to be changed back or an option like in WMC so its your media and display how you want it.

I stopped working on it as I found it rather pointless in the end as you can easily just go to the Serr site when you were in Emby website anyway. Maybe one day in the future I will come up with a better idea.

I also had a similar issue but caught it pretty quickly. After the update, within some of my library the Meta Data Providers were all unselected, as if they were automatically "unchecked": Can you check in your library settings if the Metadata providers are selected there for each segment?

I've held off on the new update for now. But I have made a copy of every NFO that exists in my library on the off chance that when I do bite the bullet, I can restore my NFO's if needed. Unfortunately for anyone that's had their library screwed by the new update it's going to be too late for them. I can't see any way they can fix their libraries after the fact. If anyone wants a hand with that hit me up, I have created a batch file that copies my entire library directory structure with nothing but the NFO's copied. 42000 ish NFO's only took up 200MB. I have to agree with queenbuzzo's comment ...... And then you thought it was a good idea to release this anyway?

Guess I picked the wrong one for here. Sorry... I'd had private.omdbapi.com whitelisted in my router, but the Ad Block was still blocking it. After messing with Ad Blocking and the whitelist for a while, I seem to have it working properly now and my Scan media library task is completing in just a couple of minutes

I think I have it now... Thank you so much for your assistance! I am hoping this resolves a bit of issues I am experiencing watching iptv. The channels buffer sometimes but seems to be much better after reboot. I have been manually rebooting emby first thing in the am. I have my router auto booting at 4am so I set Emby to restart at 4:10am daily. Thank you again! Dont be surprised if I reach back out lol

The underlying issue I raised is still not addressed though, which is that the director is always the last person amongst cast+crew when using the universal app on TV. Sucks balls.

Yeah, but Plex has it working by storing all your watch history on their servers, which makes it trivial to copy it to new servers, apart from everything else they can do with that data. I don't think anyone wants a solution even remotely similar to that for Emby.

Was anything done about an option to disable this popup. It's pretty annoying to navigate to a channel and then have to press select twice to get past the popup. Doesn't even seem like a good idea to have that enabled.

I would like to see a search bar added to EPG Mapping. When using a list with 1000 channels it takes 20 times as long to scroll through and search for channels instead of typing in a search bar.
