They are developing and completing new big feature, new color theme.

We need to update the setting description since it says Roku TV. This setting applies to all Roku actually. Make sure you have this set to YES. Some Roku models claim to support HEVC @ 60fps but really are dropping frames left and right when doing so. So we allowed all Roku models to access this setting rather than just the Roku TV. We will update the setting description to remove that mention of Roku TV and that some Roku models are limited.

Yeah, many settings are missing within the Apple TV App On my Android the Android TV App also misses some but here at least I can use the Android App itself which seems to be the one with the most options. I miss the background settings like audio background, video background startpage background like blue radiance Hope this will be one day integrated as I don't want to switch always between my Android TV and Apple TV

The problem seems to be resolved this morning. I was able to activate the key without any issues this morning. I think OVH had network disruptions last night, hence the problem I experienced. They kept me up all night doing things for nothing. They haven't even responded to my ticket yet Thanks everyone, and sorry for bothering you with this.

OK... I figured it out...My family member in the other room was watching the incredible hulk cartoon as I was watching Three's company.. Since it was happening at the same time I thought the issue was with what I was watching... but it was what THEY were watching. It was the Incredible hulk cartoon which is HEVC at 50 fps that was transcoding on their roku... because their roku settings weren't set to allow HEVC at 60fps but mine was set to yes... I was so confused. That setting change totally fixed it... thanks Oh... and the playback was immediate and smooth. I didn't see any dropping of frames at all... and I would have noticed because that absolutely drives me crazy.

Unfortunetaly no change but hey - I found the way to get it to work for me - I simply refreshed all the metadata from the library and told to replace all images and he replaced all old icons by the new ones... so now they look all good

I can make it for you later but i'm no artist so i just use ChatGPT to make the overlays. Craggles in here made the original ones (thank you!!!), i then added one to ChatGPT and wrote "Change the flag in this image to <insert country> and keep the flag waving effect", then i took the resulting image into paint and resized it to 96x76. If you can't get it to work i will make it later, not home atm, sorry.

This is an issue i also have, I have two homepods that it uses and whenever i hit pause for example theres a 2 second delay for it to happen and the same when i hit resume. When i use other apps (Netflix / Apple TV app etc.) the pause is instant, it's only emby. Would also like to see if there is a possible fix? Thanks

No change using Jellyfin. Next I changed my DNS from my hosting provider to CloudFlare and despite that not showing and DDOS attacks or significant trafic, everything has been stable for the past 24 hours.

I know some of these things have been mentioned before and I hope I'm not breaking any hard rules, but I've seen the topics stalled in their corresponding thread since 2023, and this approach might be different..., maybe? I'll try to keep it ordered in what I think would be (at least for me) the most impactuf to the less impactful. Subtitles are far from consistent (not Emby's fault), and the less popular the movie/serie, the tougher it gets to obtain a perfectly... sometimes not even decently synced subs file. So: 1) Subtitle offset memory: Why?: it's very very common that there's a slight mismatch betwen the start of the subtitles and the end and when you need to stop and continue watching something because of... life, it's really annoying to have to do it again (guessing the right setting) 2) Manual number input in subtitle offset: Why?: scroller is fine for small numbers, heck, even for large numbers if you do it once... but what if the series you're watching doesn't have a single subtitle correctly synced because all of your files are slightly offset by a similar time? (and no, editing manually in the srt files beats the purpose of automating and having a nice GUI in my media server) 3) Different names for each subtitle file downloaded: Why?: Sometimes to get the correct subs time I've downloaded 5+ subs file through Emby, then I end up with several "(Eng)" subs many because the best effort Emby does to match file and subs doesn't always work.times with the exact same name. 4) Selecting and Deleting subs from GUI's subtitle screen Why?: I like my interfaces/file management to be clean, and 'cause all of the above 5) File upload SRT from Web GUI Why?: ok, this is an outlier case but, I've manually downloaded subs or even used Speech-to-Text apps to generate subs when what I find online is pure trash (or again, when Emby simply doesn't find the file on it's own for any reason). Yes, I could log onto my NFS media share and manually search the folder, upload the file... so: convenience? 6) Develop Feature 5 in a way that's "plug-in compatible" (ok, this is a stretch, but planning for the future is never bad). Why?: Speech-to-Text systems are more and more common each day. If some people already have a decent system hosting my Emby, we might be able to run a STT app that actually infers each SRT file to perfection from our Library when needed. i.e.: OpenAI Whisper, and mounting a script with the user's selected transcription options shouldn't be that hard. (I'm not offering a plugin hehe, unfortunately I'm no programmer) And since I'm no freeloader, even though I purchased a "lifetime" license for my Emby, I would absolutely consider chipping in to support these specific improvements, and if approached, maybe there would be other willing members that have asked for these features in the past in order to obtain enough resources. Something like a kickstarter for accelerating development.

Give it time dude. It's only been 8 years or so. Seriously though, this would be really useful for various reasons. I often download x number of unwatched episodes or movies, but occasionally Emby will mark an episode as watched even if I haven't watched it (Maybe it fails to start playing or something like that) but this automatically triggers immediate removal of the downloaded version of the episode. The option to delay this deletion, even by a short time would mean I could have time to mark as unwatched and not have to rely on streaming it.

Really hoping for an update on smart playlists in 4.9 or even better yet some engagement or limited beta that canvases for input. My worry is that after this long wait the implementation isn't what users have been asking for.

Hi @LukePlease Update it, App is far more better on IOS and a lot of options. themed songs themed videos, playback options, Display, home Screen. I heard that new Apple TV that will release this year and I am Planning to upgrade. Hope it will be fix before new ATV release. Thanks..

This is a color corrected version matching fillidills color scheme. Regarding the sidebar, you can open DevConsole with F12 and check witch CSS parts need to be changed. I don't invest much time in it since i have the sidebar usually hidden. But you could make the topbar totally transparent like in Emby default dark skin. 3.5_plex_v3_gradient_blur_v2.txt
